About tequila

Tequila is a spirit of place before it is a spirit of age. It can only be made from Blue Weber agave grown in five Mexican states, almost all of it in Jalisco, and the four-digit NOM on every label tells you which distillery actually made it. From there the choices multiply: highland or valley agave, stone oven or autoclave, tahona or roller mill, copper or stainless still, and finally how long, if at all, it rests in oak.

We stock the full range, from unaged blancos that taste of cooked agave and pepper to extra añejos that sit closer to cognac. Filter by expression, brand, ABV or flavor, and look for the additive-free mark if you want the agave without adjustments.

What collectors ask

What does 100% agave mean?

The fermentable sugars came entirely from Blue Weber agave. Tequila labelled only “tequila” (without 100% agave) may use up to 49% other sugars. Everything in the vault is 100% agave.

What is a NOM?

Norma Oficial Mexicana — the four-digit number that identifies the distillery. Many brands share one NOM; a few distilleries make a single brand. Our guide on reading a NOM explains what it can and cannot tell you.

How should I store tequila?

Upright, out of direct sun, at room temperature. An opened bottle keeps its character for a year or more; oxidation is slow but real, so finish the last third within a few months.
