Description
Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco highlands forms the foundation of Don Julio Alma Miel Joven. Made from 100% agave, it brings unaged blanco together with a touch of aged tequila. Don Julio Gonzalez founded the producer in 1942. The name Alma Miel means Soul of Honey, referring to the rounded sweetness of cooked agave.
Agave and honey lead the nose, with a light floral note alongside them. The palate is smooth and velvety, carrying sweet agave, honey and vanilla. Gentle spice and oak add detail. The lingering finish stays mild, with sweetness and a small herbal accent at the close.
Serve neat in a copita or over a single large ice cube. For cocktails, try a Honey Margarita, Tommy's Margarita or Paloma.
