Description
Hand-selected blue agave is the starting point for Don Julio 1942 Añejo. Made in Mexico to honor Don Julio González, the tequila matures in American oak barrels. The producer places the emphasis on agave selection, careful production and time in wood. Those elements define an aged tequila made for measured sipping.
The palate has a smooth, velvety texture, with richness and complexity developed during barrel aging. Texture is central to the drinking experience here. Take small sips and allow time to consider the weight of the tequila across the palate. The American oak maturation and blue agave provide the foundation for that character.
Enjoy neat or on the rocks. It can also serve as the base for a tequila cocktail when you want to work with its smooth texture.
