Description

Carlos Camarena and Tomas Estes founded Tequila Ocho around the relationship between agave and place. This reposado uses blue Weber agave from the Jalisco highlands, with each bottle tied to a single estate and harvest year. It rests for eight weeks and eight days in former American oak whiskey barrels and is bottled at 40% ABV.

Ripe fruit, vanilla and butterscotch lead the nose, with subtle oak behind the agave. Sweet cooked agave anchors the palate, joined by cinnamon and delicate vanilla. The texture is smooth. A long, creamy finish carries lingering sweetness, cream and overripe stone fruit. The brief rest gives the liquid a light amber hue.

Serve neat or over ice. Use it in a classic Margarita, or combine with orange juice and grenadine for a Tequila Sunrise.
