Description
La Mesa Estate supplies all the Blue Weber agave for Tequila Ocho's 2025 barrel proof reposado. Made from 100% agave, it rests in American oak before bottling without dilution. The estate and harvest year identify its origins. The barrel proof approach retains the intensity and texture of the tequila as it leaves the cask.
Cooked agave leads the nose, followed by vanilla, caramel and citrus peel. Toasted oak and baking spice sit beneath. The full-bodied palate moves through roasted agave, honey and butterscotch, with cinnamon, black pepper and subtle minerality. Sweet agave and vanilla remain through a long finish, joined by oak spice and pepper warmth.
Pour neat, then try a few drops of water to bring forward citrus, agave and spice. Serve alongside roasted pork, aged cheese or dark chocolate.
