Description

In the Jalisco highlands, a small-batch, single-estate family distillery makes Suerte from Blue Weber agave. The brand began with two partners from Boulder working alongside that family. Its name means luck in Spanish. This additive-free blanco is distilled twice and bottled at 52% ABV, or 104 proof, giving the agave a pronounced presence.

Fresh agave, citrus zest and black pepper rise first, followed by green herbs and earth. Agave sweetness meets pepper and minerals on the palate. Lime and grapefruit add brightness, with herbal notes and a slight briny edge underneath. The long finish carries agave, pepper and citrus zest. Warming intensity gradually gives way to a clean aftertaste.

Try it neat in a tulip-shaped glass. A large ice cube softens the intensity as it slowly dilutes the tequila.
