Description
Blue agave and more than 130 years of tequila-making tradition inform Casa San Matias Añejo Cristalino. The house brings sweet and savory elements together in a clear añejo, bottled at 40% ABV. Agave honey and olive are the defining flavor references, with maturation contributing quieter notes of vanilla and oak beneath them.
The nose is sweet and floral, led by aromas recalling agave honey. That honeyed character continues across a velvety palate. Olive adds a savory dimension, giving another point of focus beside the sweetness. Subtle vanilla and oak emerge underneath. The finish is smooth, with sweetness lingering after the olive note fades.
Serve neat to follow the sweet and savory details. An Olive Citrus Margarita or a Honeyed Old Fashioned is another suggested preparation.
