Maestro Dobel 50th Anniversary 1973 Extra Anejo Tequila

Maestro Dobel makes its 50th Anniversary 1973 Extra Anejo from 100% blue Weber agave. American and European oak barrels contribute to its maturation. After aging, filtration gives the tequila its clear appearance while retaining the character developed in wood. The anniversary release marks five decades of the producer's work.

Caramelized agave and toasted oak shape the nose, joined by vanilla and dried apricot. The palate has a velvety texture, with butterscotch, dark chocolate and roasted almond. Warm spice runs through the sweetness. Honey and cinnamon appear in the long finish, where oak tannins provide a smooth closing impression.

Pour neat into a wide tequila glass and give it a little time before sipping. Serve alongside aged cheese or a rich dessert to explore the oak, nut and sweet notes.
