Description

Chino is the local name for cupreata. Bruto refers to wild-growing inaequidens. La Luna brings these two Michoacán agaves together in a small-batch ensamble, cooking, fermenting, and distilling them through traditional regional methods. The pairing draws on the character of the Michoacán highlands. Bottled at batch strength, this mezcal is 48.5% ABV.

Fresh green herbs and wet stone frame roasted agave on the nose, with smoke in the background. Cooked-agave sweetness meets black pepper and citrus peel on the palate. Bruto adds a rustic vegetal depth beneath those brighter notes. The long finish leaves dried herbs, gentle smoke, and a persistent mineral character.

Start with a room-temperature pour in a copita or small tumbler. A few drops of water soften the warmth and reveal more earth and minerals. It also suits a Mezcal Negroni or Oaxaca Old Fashioned.

How to drink

Neat: Sip slowly from a copita or small tumbler at room temperature to let the roasted agave and herbal notes unfold.

With a Drop of Water: A few drops of water soften the batch-strength heat and open up the earthy, mineral side of the ensamble.

Cocktails: Swap it into a Mezcal Negroni or an Oaxaca Old Fashioned where its wild agave character can stand up to bold mixers.

Pair With: Serve alongside grilled meats, citrus with sal de gusano, or dark chocolate to echo its smoke and earth.
