Description

American oak shapes Don Julio 1942 through a minimum of two and a half years of aging. This special edition carries a luminous LED label around the amber tequila. Bottled at 40% ABV, it brings together roasted agave and the sweet, toasted notes developed during its time in barrel.

Caramelized vanilla, roasted agave and toasted oak lead the nose. Butterscotch and dried fruit sit behind them. The palate is velvety, with sweet toffee, chocolate and tropical fruit. Cinnamon and a light thread of smoke add contrast. Oak, caramel and vanilla continue into a long, silky finish.

Serve neat in a snifter or tequila glass and take your time with the aromas. A large ice cube offers a cooler pour. For a mixed drink, use it in a Tequila Old Fashioned.
