Description
Fully mature blue Weber agave, grown for six to ten years, begins the process for Don Julio 1942. Handcrafted in small batches in Mexico, the tequila ages for at least 24 months. Time in oak shapes its warm character while leaving room for roasted agave. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
Caramel and chocolate lead the nose, with vanilla, nuts and oak adding layers. Warm oak is prominent on the palate, joined by sweet vanilla and roasted agave. Tropical fruit and a smoky agave note bring further contrast. The texture is silky, and the finish carries lingering oak and velvety vanilla.
Sip neat or on the rocks in a tequila glass or snifter. After dinner, serve with a small piece of dark chocolate and take time between sips.
