Description
Don Julio 1942 begins with fully mature blue agave and develops its añejo character in oak barrels. Its name honors the year Don Julio González started making tequila. For the 2027 Lunar New Year, the slender bottle and presentation carton celebrate the Year of the Goat. The liquid remains Don Julio 1942 añejo, bottled at 40% ABV.
Golden amber in the glass, it opens with roasted agave, warm oak, vanilla, and a little caramel. The silky palate brings caramel and toffee around cooked agave. Gentle baking spice adds definition through the middle. A long, warm finish carries vanilla and toasted oak.
Serve neat in a snifter or tequila glass, or try it with a light chill. Alongside food, choose dark chocolate, flan, churros, or aged cheeses. Its agave and barrel notes suit a slow tasting pour.
