Nineteen months in Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye barrels shape this Corazón Expresiones añejo. The tequila begins as an artisanal blanco, then takes on the barrels' rye spice during maturation. Made without additives, the limited edition joins earthy, herbal agave character with the influence of American whiskey barrels.

Red pepper, thyme and rosemary give the nose a savory opening. A trace of smoke follows. Burnt caramel and dark chocolate lead the palate, alongside smoldering wood, toffee, fig cake and candied fruit. Mint lifts the sweetness, while cinnamon and clove add warmth. The long finish shifts toward allspice, coconut and nutmeg.
