Augusto Tequila Reposado

Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from González Byass shape Augusto Reposado. Made in Mexico from 100% blue Weber agave, the tequila matures exclusively in Spanish sherry wood. Tonelería Juan Pino handcrafts the casks. Their influence gives the spirit a deep caramel color, with tones between auburn and umber.

The nose combines flowers and sweet agave. Vanilla accompanies the agave on the palate, which has a coating texture and a sweet edge. A hint of spice brings another layer before the finish turns rich and woody. The cask character remains present through the close.

Sip neat from a snifter or copita, or serve over a single large cube. Use it in an Old Fashioned in place of bourbon or aged rum. Dark chocolate and dried figs are suggested pairings with its sherry character.
