Description

The Gallardo family and LVMH are behind Volcán De Mi Tierra. Their reposado uses 100% Highlands Blue Weber agave from Jalisco. It rests for 135 days in new American and French oak barrels, developing gentle wood influence alongside the agave's herbal freshness. The tequila is bottled at 40% ABV.

Cooked agave, herbs, citrus and green apple lead the nose. Oak, honey and a trace of smoke follow. Honeyed agave and dried apricot shape the palate, joined by vanilla, caramel and toasted almond. Oak contributes a measured spice. The medium-long finish leaves dried-fruit sweetness, light smoke and warm wood notes.

Serve neat or over a large ice cube. Mix a Paloma with fresh grapefruit juice, lime and soda water. Grilled seafood, roasted pork or aged cheese make suitable pairings.
