Description

Fully mature, organically grown Blue Weber agave is the starting point for Pantalones Organic Extra Añejo. Aging is followed by a finish in Texas bourbon barrels. That final step brings bourbon sweetness and oak spice into the tequila's cooked agave character. The liquid has a deep amber color with copper highlights.

Roasted agave and caramelized vanilla rise first, followed by toasted oak and cocoa. Dried fruit and baking spice sit behind them. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet cooked agave moving into dark chocolate, toffee and vanilla. Cinnamon and a trace of leather emerge alongside the oak. Cocoa, sweet agave and soft bourbon spice remain through the long, warming finish.

Serve neat in a tequila glass or wide-rimmed snifter. A few drops of still water can reveal more chocolate and spice. Dark chocolate or toasted nuts make a fitting accompaniment.
