Description

Maestro Dobel Atelier Trajineras is the 2023 edition of the Atelier series, celebrating the trajineras, the colorful flat-bottomed boats that drift through the canals of Xochimilco in Mexico City. This extra añejo carries that tradition onto the bottle, which is hand-painted in one of five colorways. The color varies and cannot be selected, so each bottle arrives as a bit of a surprise.

As an extra añejo, the tequila has spent extended time in oak, with the profile that aging brings: toasted oak, caramel, and vanilla layered over cooked agave, with warm baking spice and a touch of dried fruit. The finish is long and dry, with lingering oak and gentle spice.

With five hand-painted colorways, this is a natural fit for collectors, and it makes a memorable gift for anyone who appreciates tequila with a story behind it. Pair it with other extra añejo tequilas from our Tequila collection for a side-by-side tasting. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.

How to drink

Neat: Pour into a tulip glass or copita and sip slowly to appreciate the oak and agave.

With a Drop of Water: Add a few drops of water to open up the baking spice and caramel notes.

On the Rocks: Serve over one large cube for a slow-sipping pour that stays cold without diluting quickly.

Cocktails: Use in an Old Fashioned with a little agave syrup and orange bitters in place of whiskey.

Pair With: Dark chocolate or a mild cigar makes a good match for the oak and caramel.
