Description

Jalisco is home to Loco, the producer behind Blanco 80. This tequila is unaged and sees no oak, keeping its agave character at the center. Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a clear view of the house's blanco style, from cooked agave sweetness to citrus and mineral notes.

The nose brings together cooked agave, lime zest and green herbs. White pepper and a little wet stone follow. On the palate, roasted agave sweetness meets bright citrus, with an herbal and mineral thread through the middle. The finish stays crisp. Pepper, agave and minerality linger after the citrus recedes.

Pour neat into a copita or tequila glass at room temperature. Light chilling is another option. A single large ice cube softens the pepper and gives the citrus more room. Use it in a Tommy's Margarita with lime and agave nectar.
