Description

Third-generation Maestro Tequilero Jose Aceves oversees León y Sol Blanco at NOM 1499 in Los Altos de Jalisco. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave, it was the debut tequila from the Marhamat family's brand. The family's Persian heritage inspired its lion-and-sun imagery. León y Sol launched in 2024, and the blanco is bottled at 40% ABV.

Ripe agave and fresh pear meet grapefruit zest on the nose. Rosemary and bay leaf add an herbal edge. Those herbs continue on the palate alongside citrus and agave, with a trace of menthol bringing a cool sensation. The finish stays clean, leaving a subtle floral note and gentle herbal warmth.

Serve neat at room temperature in a wide-mouth glass. One large ice cube lets the pear and grapefruit open as the pour chills. For a Tommy's Margarita, combine with fresh lime juice and agave nectar over ice.
