Description

Espadincillo, Chino, and Bruto bring three regional agave identities to La Luna's Michoacán mezcal. The producer works with wild and semi-wild agaves native to the highlands, using their traditional regional names. This small-batch ensamble combines all three in one clear spirit, bottled at 48.5% ABV. Its character joins cooked-agave richness with a more vegetal side.

Roasted agave, wet earth, and green herbs open the nose. Citrus peel adds brightness above a thin ribbon of smoke. The palate moves between sweet cooked agave and wild vegetal notes, with black pepper and lime zest providing definition. Minerals carry the long finish, followed by herbal smoke and warm spice.

Pour at room temperature into a copita or small tumbler. A few drops of water bring citrus and green herbs forward while softening the strength. Try it in a Mezcal Negroni or Oaxaca Old Fashioned.

How to drink

Neat: Sip at room temperature from a copita or small tumbler to let the roasted agave and herbal notes open up.

With a Drop of Water: A few drops of water soften the higher strength and pull the citrus and green-herb aromatics forward.

Cocktails: Swap it into a Mezcal Negroni or Oaxaca Old Fashioned, using 2 parts mezcal so the wild agave character stands up to the other ingredients.

Pair With: Serve alongside grilled meats, citrus-marinated ceviche, or dark chocolate with sea salt.
