Description

From Tequila, Jalisco, Hornitos dates to Don Francisco Javier Sauza's introduction of the brand in 1950. The name honors the little ovens traditionally used for roasting agave. Oak maturation shapes this añejo, giving it a tawny brown color and an aged character. Bottled at 40% ABV, it connects that history with a full-bodied tequila.

Chocolate and hazelnut lead the nose. Vanilla, dried fruit, and toasted wood follow, adding sweet and woody notes. The palate brings vanilla and hazelnut together with dried fruit and the flavor of agave nectar. Its full body carries those flavors into a long finish.

Try a neat pour in a stemmed tequila glass or tumbler. Sip slowly to follow the nut, fruit, and wood notes. It also works as the base for an Añejo Old Fashioned.
