Description

Don Julio's 2026 Year of the Horse edition contains 1942 añejo tequila aged for more than two and a half years. The Mexican tequila comes in a red-and-gold bottle combining equestrian artwork with the traditional ikat rebozo pattern. The edition connects Mexican textile imagery with the horse of the Chinese zodiac.

Caramel and vanilla lead the nose, followed by roasted agave and a little tropical fruit. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with toffee, oak, and baking spice. Dried fruit and creamy butterscotch add depth. Toasted oak and vanilla bean carry through the long finish, accompanied by subtle peppery warmth.

Serve neat in a snifter or Glencairn to explore the aromas. A single large ice cube is another serving option. Dark chocolate or aged cheese can accompany a slow pour.
