Description
Corazon rests this reposado for six to eight months in American oak barrels previously used for Sazerac Rye. The whiskey casks contribute to a tequila with earthy, herbal and softly sweet notes. Bottled at 40% ABV, it has a light amber color. The maturation brings the influence of American oak into Corazon's Mexican tequila.
Thyme, green grass and agave nectar rise from the glass, with oak underneath. Earthy flavors lead the palate. Soft vanilla, marcona almond and fresh herbs follow, carried by a rounded texture. The finish lingers smoothly, with earth and herbs gradually giving way to the sweetness of vanilla and almond.
Serve neat in a tulip-shaped glass or over one large ice cube. For a Reposado Old Fashioned, stir with agave syrup and Angostura bitters.
