Description
Spanish sherry casks shape Augusto's approach to joven tequila. Made in Mexico from 100% blue Weber agave, it carries the influence of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry from González Byass. The casks give the liquid its deep caramel hue. Agave remains central, with sherry character carried through this younger member of the producer's range.
Floral aromas rise with sweet agave on the nose. The palate has a coating texture, bringing vanilla into the agave sweetness. A little spice develops alongside that sweet edge. The finish is rich and woody, carrying the cask influence through the close.
Serve neat or lightly chilled to follow the agave and sherry notes. For a highball, top with soda and add orange peel. It also brings its vanilla and wood character to a Margarita or Paloma.
